Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid is one of the most widely used and safest treatments in modern aesthetic medicine. Its ability to hydrate, fill, and rejuvenate makes it a highly effective tool for restoring facial harmony without surgery.

It is a substance naturally found in the human body, especially in the skin, whose main function is to retain water to keep the skin hydrated, firm, and voluminous. Over time, its production decreases, leading to wrinkles, loss of elasticity, and sagging.

What is Hyaluronic Acid and how does it act?

The Hyaluronic Acid used in aesthetics is a biocompatible and absorbable form, designed to integrate naturally into tissues without causing adverse reactions.

Mechanism of action:

Unlike Botox, which relaxes muscles, Hyaluronic Acid acts as a dermal filler, meaning it fills lines, wrinkles, and furrows through direct injection into the skin. It is also used to restore lost facial volumes or to enhance certain areas such as lips or cheekbones.

Types of Hyaluronic Acid and their use

There are different formulations of Hyaluronic Acid, varying in density and viscosity. This allows Dr. Pérez to select the most suitable type depending on the area to be treated.

Low density Hyaluronic Acid:

ideal for fine lines and lip contour.

Medium density Hyaluronic Acid:

used for nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and dark circles.

High density Hyaluronic Acid:

to recover volume in cheeks, cheekbones, chin, or jawline.

In which zones is it applied?

The most common applications of Hyaluronic Acid include:

Nasolabial folds(lines between nose and mouth)
Marionette lines(from corners of mouth to chin)
Lips(volume increase, contour definition, hydration)
Dark circles(improvement of hollowness and pigmentation)
Cheekbones and cheeks(volume and definition)
Chin and jawline(facial profile harmonization)
Non-surgical rhinomodeling(improving nose shape without surgery)
Perioral lines(barcode lines)
