Specialized Plastic Surgery

More and more women around the world are considering breast explantation as an alternative to recover physical, emotional, and aesthetic well-being, whether for personal, medical reasons or simply because they feel that their implants are no longer part of their identity.
Dr. Pérez has extensive experience in breast implant removal surgery, offering an individualized approach that prioritizes the safety, aesthetics, and expectations of each patient.
There are multiple reasons why a patient may choose to remove her breast implants:
Changes in aesthetic priorities or lifestyle
Complications such as capsular contracture, rupture, or implant displacement
Symptoms related to ASIA Syndrome or physical discomfort associated with implants
Discomfort or feeling of heaviness in the chest
Desire to recover a more natural body image
Depending on the particular case, Dr. Pérez may opt for different surgical techniques:
Removal of breast implants through the same incision where they were placed. It is indicated when there is no capsular contracture or surrounding tissue alterations.
In patients presenting capsular contracture or other symptoms, the complete or partial removal of the capsule that has formed around the implant is proceeded with, in addition to extracting the prosthesis.
When breast tissue has lost firmness or presents significant drooping, a pexy is performed simultaneously to lift and redefine the breast aesthetically and harmoniously.
• Each intervention is carefully planned in consultation, taking into account chest anatomy, residual tissue amount, and patient goals.
• In cases of capsular contracture or suspected rupture, total en-bloc capsulectomy is performed, removing the implant and capsule in a single piece.
• When necessary, natural breast reconstruction techniques using the patient's own breast tissue are combined, achieving a pleasant and proportional shape.
• Scars are designed with aesthetic criteria, seeking to be barely visible and easy to conceal.
