Good preparation is key to achieving excellent results and ensuring optimal recovery. Therefore, it is fundamental that you know what to do before surgery and what to expect afterwards. This will allow you to face each phase of the process with peace of mind and confidence.
It is important to understand that every body reacts differently. Inflammation, scarring, and the pace of recovery vary between patients, so we recommend that you do not compare your process with that of others. Patience and following medical instructions will be your best allies.
With more than 30 years of experience and thousands of procedures performed, I can assure you that the vast majority of our patients experience a calm recovery without complications. This is because we use minimally invasive surgical techniques, highly predictable and supported by state-of-the-art technology.
This stage comprises the first days after surgery. During the first 48 to 72 hours, it is normal to present greater inflammation. However, from the third day onwards, a rapid improvement usually begins. By the second week, many patients feel ready to return to their daily and work activities, although the recovery process is still underway. Among the most common signs that may indicate that a person is a candidate for this procedure are:
In this phase, the body continues to heal internally. Scars progressively soften and final results begin to consolidate. It is in this period when the appearance reaches its maximum naturalness.
To help you visualize this process, we have created a video we call "The Rollercoaster of Recovery", where we explain clearly and legally how the body evolves day by day after surgery.
Remember: plastic surgery is a transformative and positive experience, provided it is accompanied by realistic expectations, adequate care, and a medical team committed to your well-being.
We are proud to accompany you in this important process. Thank you for your trust.
Prior to any type of surgical procedure, a series of instructions must be taken into account that will be fundamental both for the success of the surgery and the prevention of possible complications. For this reason, we advise our patients to carefully follow each of the instructions that you can find below in the video:

It is fundamental that you understand that, after a surgical procedure, certain side symptoms may occur. Most of these manifestations are normal, transient, and vary according to each patient. Although serious complications are rare, it is key to be in constant communication with us to resolve any doubts you may have about your evolution.
Below, we explain the most common and expected reactions in the postoperative period:
It is common for them to appear in the days following surgery. Their intensity may vary depending on the type of procedure performed. Bruises will change color during their resolution process, going through green and yellow tones before completely disappearing.
Depending on the type of surgery and individual sensitivity, it is possible to feel discomfort or mild pain. This is usually controllable with the indicated medications. If the pain increases progressively or becomes intense, it is important to contact the medical team immediately.
Scarce bleeding through incisions or surgical drains can be considered normal in the first days. However, if the bleeding is significant or persistent, the medical team must be informed immediately.
It is common to feel numbness in the areas near the incisions. This sensation may be temporary and improve gradually, respecting the time the body needs in weeks or months.
They may occur as a side effect of anesthesia or some medications used during surgery. If you have a history of sensitivity to these drugs, please communicate it before the procedure to take the necessary preventive measures.
During the healing process, wounds may change color (from pink to reddish) and generate some itching. After proper care, they usually improve quickly. If redness is excessive, there is discharge with a bad odor, or fever occurs, it should be indicated to an account immediately for prolonged use, as appropriate.
Remember: Given any symptom that concerns you or if you notice unexpected changes, do not hesitate to communicate with our team. We are here to accompany you at every stage of your recovery.
The success of a surgery does not depend solely on the procedure itself, but also on the patient's commitment to their recovery process. Properly following medical instructions and maintaining a responsible commitment to our team's indications is fundamental to obtaining the best results and living a satisfactory experience.
Therefore, we have prepared a series of educational videos covering the postoperative care of the surgical procedures we perform most frequently. These materials have been carefully designed so that you have access at any time and so that it is easy and accessible for you to follow each of the instructions that help you recover in the best way.
We recommend watching these videos before your procedure.
They will help you understand each stage of recovery better and allow you to face the process with greater peace of mind and confidence.
As with many important aspects of our lives, the results of cosmetic surgery also need maintenance. It is vital to protect the aesthetic improvements achieved over time.
A surgical procedure can help you rejuvenate your appearance or improve certain areas of your body or face. However, it is important to understand that the passage of time continues and that certain habits and non-surgical treatments can contribute significantly to maintaining those permanent results. What can be done is to care for and enhance those results to keep them in their best version over time.
Below, we share some recommendations to preserve the effects of your surgery, both in facial and body procedures:
